1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to EmpowerSkills. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of empowerskills.co (the “Site”) and the SAP training courses, community features, and services we provide (collectively, the “Services”), operated by EmpowerSkills, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or enroll in a course on this Site. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, including course content, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at ask@empowerskills.co if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Courses and Content License

When you purchase or enroll in a course, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view that course’s content for your personal, non-commercial learning use. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, resell, publicly display, or create derivative works from any course content, video, document, or material without our prior written permission. Course access is tied to your individual account and may not be shared.

5. Fees and Payment

Paid courses are offered on a one-time purchase basis at the price displayed at checkout. Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers (currently Razorpay, with PayPal available where enabled). We do not store your full payment card details. All fees are quoted in the currency shown at checkout and are exclusive of any taxes unless stated otherwise.

6. Refunds and Cancellations

All course purchases are final. Once you have enrolled in a paid course, no refunds or exchanges will be provided, regardless of how much of the course content you have accessed or completed. Please review course descriptions carefully before purchasing. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at ask@empowerskills.co and we will look into it.

7. Certificates

Certain courses may offer a completion certificate upon meeting the course’s completion criteria. Certificates are provided for personal learning-record purposes only and do not constitute an official SAP certification or guarantee of employment, unless expressly stated otherwise.

8. Community Features

The Site includes community features such as Activity Feeds, Groups, Forums, and Messages. When using these features, you agree not to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate this policy. Content you post in public community areas may be visible to other members.

9. Intellectual Property

All course materials, videos, text, graphics, logos, and other content on the Site (excluding user-generated community content) are owned by or licensed to EmpowerSkills and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.

10. Third-Party Services

The Site relies on third-party service providers, including payment processors (Razorpay, PayPal), email delivery, and hosting/caching infrastructure, to operate. Your use of those providers’ features may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that course content will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will meet your specific certification or career outcomes.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EmpowerSkills and its founders and instructors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Services, including but not limited to loss of income or career opportunities.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Services at any time; however, as stated above, this does not entitle you to a refund for any course already purchased.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how EmpowerSkills (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit empowerskills.co or use our SAP training courses and community features (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, and any details you enter when registering, enrolling in a course, posting in the community, or contacting us. When you make a purchase, our payment processors (Razorpay, and PayPal where enabled) collect your payment details directly; we do not receive or store your full card or bank account numbers. We also automatically collect certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, including through cookies (see Section 5).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: create and manage your account; provide access to purchased courses and track your learning progress; process payments and send purchase confirmations; respond to support requests; send you service-related communications; operate community features such as Forums and Groups; and improve and secure the Site.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable (including for visitors in the EU/UK), we process your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (e.g., providing course access you purchased), your consent (e.g., optional cookies, marketing communications), our legitimate interests (e.g., securing the Site, improving our Services), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality, such as staying logged in.

6. Payment Processing

Payments are handled by third-party payment processors (currently Razorpay, with PayPal available where enabled). These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your payment information. We only receive confirmation of payment status and transaction references, not your full payment credentials.

7. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with: service providers who help us operate the Site (course platform, email delivery, hosting and caching, payment processing); other members, where you choose to post in public community areas (Activity Feed, Groups, Forums); and authorities, where required by law.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account and course data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to any records we are legally required to keep (e.g., payment or tax records).

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; restrict or object to certain processing; and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where it applies and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act.

11. International Data Transfers

We are based in India, and your information may be processed in India or by service providers located in other countries. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection.

12. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

13. Community Content

Information you choose to share in public areas of the Site, such as Forums, Groups, or the Activity Feed, is visible to other members and is not covered by the confidentiality protections of this policy. Please use discretion when posting.
